Enjoying theatre beneath an open sky – that's the Volksschauspiele festival in Ötigheim! During the summer months, Germany's largest open-air stage is a popular mag-net for theatre- and music-lovers from all over Germany.
An audience of roughly 4000 can sit comfortably in a roofed-over area while following performances before an opulent natural backdrop. Not only the stage complex is unique: The large number of participants active on an honorary basis is unparalled, too.
400 amateur actors of all ages support the "pros". Whether acting, singing or dancing, they all contribute greatly to unforgettable events.
